Courtney's Chocolate Cupcakes
Usually I find my cupcake recipes off the internet, or from my mama's cook books, but I made this one all on my own! I'm so excited to share it with you. I didn't go all fancy with the frosting, since I have to baby sit in an hour. I did make it cute and pretty though, I would never do a sloppy job with cupcakes, even a messed up cup cake is a piece of art! But there are no messed up cupcakes in this post :)
INGREDIENTS
~1 1/2 cup of all purpose flour
~1 1/4 cup of sugar
~1/4 teaspoon of baking soda
~2 teaspoons of baking powder
~3/4 cup of chocolate baking powder (unsweetened)
~3 Tablespoons of melted butter
~1 teaspoon of vinegar
~1 1/2 cup of milk (About that or just a tad less)
~2 eggs
~1/8 teaspoon of salt
~3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
INGREDIENTS
~1 1/2 cup of all purpose flour
~1 1/4 cup of sugar
~1/4 teaspoon of baking soda
~2 teaspoons of baking powder
~3/4 cup of chocolate baking powder (unsweetened)
~3 Tablespoons of melted butter
~1 teaspoon of vinegar
~1 1/2 cup of milk (About that or just a tad less)
~2 eggs
~1/8 teaspoon of salt
~3/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions
First preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
First put all your ingredients in a mixing bowl, starting with the flour
I love how the flour looks so fluffy!
Then the sugar...
baking soda...
and baking powder...
salt...
chocolate baking powder
Now the butter...
Next the vinegar...
And the milk...
the eggs....
And the vanilla extract...
Mix it all together...
Fill the cupcake liners with the batter and stick it into the oven for 15 to 17 minutes.
They might need to bake a bit more, so keep putting them in for a minute until they are all done.
LARGE CUPCAKES: About 20 minutes
MINI CUPCAKES: About 15 minutes
Let them cool, and frost them...
Wow, great job! I don't think I've ever made a recipe on my own, I'm too much of a wimp. These look fantastic!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I was a little scared at first... but once I tasted the batter, I knew the cupcakes would be amazing! And they were!! The frosting wasn't too hard either... just opened up a container of Pillsbury buttercream frosting! :)
