The Pita Pit Palooza

In the lakeside town of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, there are many shops that close early. It's a tourist town, so I don't know why they close early when there are countless people who want to shop at 8:00 at night. As we were looking for a place to eat, we stumbled upon a place called The Pita Pit. At first, I wasn't so sure about it. Anything that has the word "pit" in it, I'm a little afraid. We entered the "pit" and it smelled so good.
It smelled of fresh veggies, fresh fruit, pita bread, meat, kind of like the way Subway smells, but a bit toned down. I was confused at how the Pita Pit works, but it works just like Subway. You pick you bread, you pick your meat, they take the sandwich down the line and you pick your veggies and sauces and cheese. They had feta cheese! I was so happy that they had other types of cheese other than pepper jack, American, or cheddar. I ordered the black forest ham on a white pita, with pickles, tomatoes, spinich, mustard, sour cream, feta, cucumbers, black olives, and balsamic vinaigrette. I also ordered a Blu Bayou, which is a smoothie with strawberries, blueberries, and orange juice. It was delicious, and so fresh! The pita sandwich was amazing! So fresh, and the ham was delightful. They cook the meat right in front of you. I also loved how they wrapped up the sandwich, this made it easy to eat.
It was a great, healthy choice for dinner. I loved that they had the locations of their shop on napkins. They have Pita Pit everywhere almost. My sister and I were glad there are some Pita Pits in Oregon. They are little more expensive than Subway, but it's worth it. It tastes so amazing. You know how at Subway you have so much bread, and such little filling? Well, at the Pita Pit, there is just a thinner pita, and lots of filling. I love that!
The Pita Pit's service was so friendly and nice. I love how they asked if the sandwich was for now or for later. The atmosphere was great. They had this modern looking soda machine, and it carried a bunch of different fountain soda drinks. It was a more modern fountain drink dispenser.

All in all, I had a great experience. My grandparents even loved it! My sister loved it! I loved it! And apparently lots of others too. In the Pita Pit, they had a TV up and they were news recordings of reviews of the Pita Pit. I thought that was kind of cool. They must be super popular, but I have never heard of them. I certainly have now and I love their food.
