Lush Cosmetics Product Review

My skin is so picky. I use the generic products, and they never really work. When I use natural products on my skin, it's like I flipped a switch, and it works! My skin glows, it is just beautiful when I use natural products.

Last year, on our little walk-about on Christmas Eve through Northwest Portland, we discovered this little shop called Lush Handmade Cosmetics. Most of their products are organic, some are even vegan. (And now, you hear angels singing.)

Last week, my Grandma took my sister and me down to Northwest Portland, and I went back to Lush. I knew exactly what I wanted. The Cosmetic Warrior fresh face mask. I did collect a few samples along the way, but I was determined to get the face mask. This wonderful sales girl told me all about the samples I was given, and educated me on the Cosmetic Warrior. The Cosmetic Warrior has garlic in it, and I was worried that my skin would smell like garlic after I used it. She opened the container and I smelled it, I didn't smell garlic, I smelled tea tree oil. She said that it had a lot of essential oils in it, but the garlic was there for nourishing. 

Here is what Lush says about their Cosmetic Warrior. 
"Spots! Oily areas! Blackheads! The frustration of having breakout prone skin can incite aggressive, 'industrial' type cleaning. Unfortunately, breakout prone skin is often very sensitive, so using harsh cleansers can actually make the problem worse. Don't over attack your skin; lead it firmly down the path of salvation with Cosmetic Warrior. Cosmetic Warrior is kind to problem-laden faces thanks to moisturizing egg whites and honey, which smooth and tighten the pores. Antiseptic garlic and tea tree oil effectively clean and disinfect spots for a fresh, clear face."

This is exactly how I feel. This mask works! 

Ever since the summer, I have been having problematic skin. Stress has added to my skin problems, and the cold, dry weather created little blemishes here and there. I needed something to wipe out the enemy and take care of my skin, without drying my skin out or damaging it. 

I take care of my skin, I wash it, tone it, moisturize it, and I never sleep with my makeup on, but I guess my skin just needed the Cosmetic Warrior. 

I do have the Cosmetic Warrior on my face, but because of the soft, neutral color, you can hardly see it. 

When you apply it to your skin, you will notice that there are little bits of grapes in the mask. I keep those on and put the little bits of grapes on my "problem" spots. 

You leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes, and wash it off with warm water. 

I tone, and then moisturize my face. 

What can I say? The mask makes me feel pretty.

I wanted to review the samples too. I love samples! 

They do their job well, because after I use a sample, I always want the full size. So, I am going to buy the Fresh Farmacy Face Soap, and the Herbalism from Lush. 

The Fresh Farmacy bar soap cleanser makes my face feel so soft. It leaves my skin glowing, and it is also meant for "problematic" skin. Herbalism is a wonderful, soft exfolient. It leaves my face feeling clean, soft, and new. 

I love the Lush products. It really makes a difference when you start using natural products on your face, it's a good difference. 

I will continue purchasing products from Lush Handmade Cosmetics.
