Valentine's Day 2014

Happy Valentine's Day, readers!
I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day, I sure did! My Valentine's day started early in the morning to the night and it was just a lovely day. The whole day was full of beauty and happiness. I don't think I stopped smiling. I received a lot of candy from my folks, and lovely cards. My sister and I gave my mom a pair of TOMS and we gave a card to my dad telling him that we are going to take him out for ice cream. My dad likes to go things rather than receive gifts. We were so excited to give our gifts to our parents. My mom went crazy over the TOMS, and my dad is excited about going out for ice cream.
I wanted to make some lovely Valentine's day treats for my family to enjoy. I decided on two kinds of hot cocoa, chocolate chip cookies, and graham crackers covered in chocolate.

Super simple Valentine's day treats, easy to make, pleasing to the eye, and delicious.

Chocolate covered graham crackers with sprinkles and M&Ms.
All you need is graham crackers, chocolate chips or melting chocolate, sprinkles, and M&Ms. You don't have to make these for just Valentine's day, just switch up the color of the sprinkles and M&Ms to match the occasion. You can use any type of chocolate, I melted down semi-sweet chocolate chips and used a spatula to spread on the chocolate to the top of the graham cracker. Before the chocolate hardened, I sprinkled the sprinkles and placed the M&Ms on the drying chocolate. Super easy to make, and delicious to eat.

Chocolate chip cookies drizzled with pink chocolate.
Use your favorite chocolate chip cookie recipe, and add in M&Ms if you like. I had some M&Ms left over from the graham crackers and decided to incorporate them into my cookies. When the cookies cooled over night, I melted down white chocolate (again, you can use any type of chocolate you prefer), and I put two, small drops of red food coloring to dye the chocolate pink. I took a spoon and drizzled the chocolate over the cookies. They look and taste awesome!

I made two kinds of hot cocoa. I made a red velvet hot cocoa, and I made a white mocha hot cocoa and dyed it pink for pink hot chocolate.
I went to World Market on Tuesday grabbed up two, glass mugs, and two hot cocoa mixes.

And the Pink Hot Cocoa

A lovely Valentine's day spent with myself, and my loved ones. Re-watching The Office and thinking up ideas for next Valentine's Day. I stayed up late, and I am very thankful I had a lovely day on the day of love.
I used to hate Valentine's day, but I am starting to like it more and more.
So again, I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's day.
