Easter 2014
Knowing I would see my whole family today, I was up at 7:30 this morning, and found two baskets on the table, one was mine and the other was Brittney's. I received from my parents some super comfy flip flops and some delicious candy. I picked out the flip flops a few weeks ago, and I was so excited to receive them and wear them! Ever since I took my wedges off, I have been wearing my new comfy flip flops all day.
We had to be at my Grandma Biggs's house very soon after I woke up, so I ate breakfast, and watched a few I Love Lucy's, and then I did the dishes, and began to get ready for the day.
When we arrived at my Grandma and Grandpa Biggs's house, Uncle Randy, Aunt Aimee and little baby Quincy came shortly after, seeing that little sweet face makes my day. I don't get to see her all that often, but when I do, I hug her tight and kiss all over her sweet face.
My Grandma always prepares amazing food. For brunch, she set the table very Eastery and Springy, she always sets a beautiful table. She made her delicious hash brown casserole, Auntie B brought deviled eggs, Aimee brought a delicious fruit salad, my mom brought lemon poppy seed muffins, and raspberry white chocolate muffins, and my Grandma made smokies. It was a delicious brunch. We always have some really good conversations around the table at my Grandma's house, and that is part of what I look forward to, the conversations.
After brunch, we checked out our baskets from the "Easter Bunny", money and chocolate are the best kind of gifts. We then had an Easter egg hunt, and it was Quincy's first Easter egg hunt with her first Easter. My Uncle Randy held her while looking for the eggs, I left the majority of the eggs for her. You are never too old to do an Easter egg hunt.

Her face in some of these pictures is absolutely hilarious.

It was shortly after we did the Easter egg hunt that we parted ways and left for home, it was a lovely morning at my Grandparent's house, and I was so happy to see Quincy, Randy, Aimee and Auntie B.
We also celebrated my Great-Grandpa Kirby's 92nd birthday today, my mom made an orange ombre cake for his celebration, so we celebrated Easter and my Great-Grandpa's birthday. Today was a big day!
I was really excited about my outfit today, wearing my new dress from Target and my wedges from Target, it was a Target fashion day. All the pieces that I wore today were super cute, and really upped my confidence level. I have been trying to pick out pieces of clothing, and makeup that help boost my confidence level.
What an amazing day! Spending holidays with family, and eating a lot of sugar, I actually did a good job of not overdoing it. This is what the holidays are all about, spending time with family, and celebrating the tight knittings of family.
Happy Easter Readers!
