Yoga at The Hoyt Arboretum
I can't stay away from this beautiful place. I had to go back this morning, and spend some time by myself. I decided to do a few yoga sequences at select places of the arboretum, and I wanted to share my adventure. I have never been to the arboretum all by my lonesome (it wasn't lonely at all), I have only been to the arboretum with other people before. Going by myself was freeing. I love the company of others, but being alone was wonderful. I could go at my own pace, and spend as much time looking at certain trees for as long as I wanted. This is my favorite place, and it offers so much for the community. It is beautiful, and while I ventured to some trails of the arboretum that I've never been on before, there are still so many trails that I haven't ventured out on. I already can't wait to go back, and see what else I can find.
Tree pose with the American Elm.
I loved the curling of the stem with this little plant. Plants can have cute personalities.
The Redwood Trail is my favorite trail in all of the arboretum. It has the giant sequoias, and the observation deck. Sequoias are my favorite trees because they are somewhat rare, and they are huge, and so tall. I forgot to take a picture of it this trip, but the Hoyt Arboretum provides this info graphic sign, comparing a sequoia to the Space Needle. It is really interesting to see how the Space Needle is not much taller than the Giant Sequoias. This tree in particular is my favorite at the Hoyt Arboretum.
The Rooty Tree is my sacred place. It is majestic when you approach it. I decided to do my main yoga sequence at the Rooty Tree, because it symbolic and it's peaceful. I'm glad that I had the trail to myself this morning, it can be a little awkward when passerbys see you do yoga in a public area. I am trying to practice confidence though, because why should I feel awakward for bettering my mind, and bettering my body? Especially in a beautiful, majestic place like the Hoyt Arboretum.

Lotus pose, Namaste.
I went back to Observation deck after doing some yoga, and I wanted to do Tree pose with my favorite trees, at my favorite area of the Hoyt Arboretum.
Do you see why I can't stay away from this gorgeous, living museum? It's so pretty, and absolutely beautiful. I am planning on going back soon, and I will be more creative with my yoga poses, and find more amazing trails that the Hoyt Arboretum lays out.
