Latest Instagrams // Life Update

I have been doing more instagramming than blogging lately, and honestly the reason why I haven't blogging is that I have been somewhat lazy. I have also been working a lot more, and this was the first week for my online classes that something was actually due, so I took time to work on that as well. I have also been preoccupied with planning a trip, and getting plans in order for that, so the energy that I would normally spend on blogging was spent elsewhere. I do have a few projects up my sleeve that I am working on, and I am really excited to share them on here with my readers. So, here is what I have been up to for the past week and a half.
On March 29th, I booked a trip to Pensacola, Florida for the later part of April. I am visiting to get a feel for the city and for the university. If you have been keeping up with my blog since the beginning, you know that I have been dreaming of moving to Pensacola, Florida. It has been almost six years, and I am finally visiting. When you want something so badly, you work for it, and things will fall into place. I am so excited to visit!

Last week was a big week for me. Not only did I book flights and a hotel room, but I also went to a blogger event at my favorite, little boutique on Hawthorne Blvd. Last Thursday evening, Sloan Boutique hosted a blogger/instagrammer event to meet and mingle. I ended up meeting a few PDX bloggers, and it was fun to meet other successful instagrammers. To be honest, I felt a little out of my league because these other bloggers and instagrammers had built quite the community, and they have a pretty significant following on Instagram. It was a lot of fun though, and I ended up purchasing some more of my favorite t-shirts. I also entered the shoe raffle at the blogging event, and I ended up being the winner! The shoes are adorable, and I can't wait to show them off in a style post. They are such a fun color.
I have been anticipating my trip, planning, and thinking about it. As much as I love my family, and as much as I love Portland and Oregon in general, I was feeling like I was in a slump. Go to work, do schoolwork, blog, and do it all over again for months on end. I felt that I needed some renewal. So, my trip has been on my mind almost every second of each day, anticipating, and thinking about how much this is needed.

Probably one of my favorite aspects of this trip is the upcoming airport lay overs, and the plane ride. I actually love the airport scene. I have since I was a little girl, and I am so very excited to experience that again. To make the airport a little more fun, and easier to navigate through, I have limited myself to packing only in a carry-on, and downsizing the amount of liquids I take. Flight 001 has these awesome pint-sized clear bags that are perfect for air travel. I can take out my liquids easily, and the security attendant can look at all that I am bringing quickly and easily. This bag is adorable, and I am glad that I grabbed one up. I love how durable it is, and I love how it fits all that I need to bring with me.

I normally don't volunteer to go to the mall, it is definitely not my favorite place to be, but my sister needed to go prom dress shopping, and I needed to grab a few things from Lush and Sephora, so we decided to go together. To make the visit a little more pleasant, I bought myself a matcha bubble tea because bubble tea makes everything better.

It has been a busy past week and a half, and the weeks following will continue to be busy, but I am not going to let that stop me from blogging. I am excited for these upcoming weeks! A lot of fantastic fun to look forward to for sure.
